Another award for the Stanford investigation, this time from the National Press Club in Washington DC, bestowing its prize for Newspaper Consumer Journalism.

The NPC award categories are consumer reporting, Washington correspondence, press criticism, regional, diplomatic and environmental reporting, online journalism, freedom of the press, political journalism, animal reporting, and geriatric writing.

I also, June 5th, won first place for Non-Deadline Business Reporting, Sunshine State Awards, given by South Florida chapter, the Society of Professional Journalists.

I share these awards, as the others, with Miami Herald reporters Mike Sallah and Rob Barry, who were assigned to work with me on this story that I took to the paper.
