I got a Covid vaccine yesterday at a center set up at the Ford Foundation on West 42^nd Street in Manhattan. I went online Feb 17 and booked an appointment for the next day.  Nyc.gov/vaccinefinder. But this is the good ending of a bad story!

Brilliantly organized and staffed by AffiliatedPhysicians.com, with an entire floor and a half given over to reception desks, identity and form checks, wifi connections to input information to the State, private booths with nurses, an auditorium of leather chairs to wait the required 20 minutes after the shot. Blue arrow tapes to point you to the next place, with aides directing. Even water bottles handed out. Got there at 9:45am for a 10:15 appointment and was out by 10:30.

But besides the Ford Foundation, the online list of places for NYC was mostly Javits Center (nothing available), drug stores (Rite Aid, Walgreen, etc) nothing available.

Important, take a step back, I had booked an appointment six weeks earlier for Feb 17^th at the Mt Sinai center at Union Square. But then on Feb 15^th, the appointment was suddenly cancelled.

I read that Gov. Cuomo got annoyed at Mt Sinai for criticizing him and cut off their vaccine supply. Thousands of people had appointments cancelled. It’s his version of what the Goodfellas mafiosi would have done. So, I went online and got a place at the Ford Foundation. Hmm, the center at Ford run by Affiliated Physicians has vaccine, Mt Sinai not?

How did the U.S. become a corrupt failed state? Easy, the health industry (note word industry) does not exist to keep people healthy, it’s to make money for profiteers who own insurance companies, hospitals, big pharma, et al, and who pay off the members of the U.S. Congress who are the best money can buy. And maybe that includes the governor of New York.
